Nirek Completes Acquisition of Sarah Lake Multi-Mineral Property

Ontario, Canada – April 7, 2008 - Nirek Resources Inc.(“Nirek”) (Frankfurt: 3N6-FRA; Gold Warrant: CA6546411175) is pleased to announce the completion of the acquisition Sarah Lake in northern Quebec, 90 km south of Wabash, Labrador. The signed agreement has an option to earn 100% interest over a 3-year period.

In the centre of the property is a prominent hill consisting of a sill of ultramafic rocks, which a report in 1998 for Diadem Resources pegged as large as 2 km. in width and 4 km. in length. The first extensive examination of the property was carried out by a geologist in the Quebec Department of Mines in 1990. Since that time six companies in the 1990’s have done exploration work including diamond drilling on the sill.

Historic results show the property to have widespread copper and nickel mineralization with iron nickel sulphide (pentlandite) indicating a significant cobalt content. Persistent and recoverable levels of gold, platinum, palladium and rhodium have been noted in historic reports.

The last field work (in 2001) primarily used Mobile Metallic Ions (MMI) Technique to collect soil samples for analysis. MMI is used as a geochemical technique to identify deeply buried ore bodies from soil collected 10 to 25 cm. below the surface. The laboratory uses proprietary extractants to analyze the samples with high sensitivity ICP-MS equipment.

Nirek’s management review of the report suggests additional MMI sampling should be done to better define the anomalous responses as well as possibly extending the zone of mineralization. With additional positive results, Nirek’s geologists would be able to assess the feasibility of a diamond drill program.

Historically the reserve has been estimated to be up to 64 million tonnes. Now that the property has been acquired, Nirek has asked independent consultants to undertake the preparation of a 43-101.
