A Leading Canadian Geological Specialist Joins Nirek

ONTARIO, CANADA – October 29, 2008 - Nirek Resources Inc. (“Nirek”) (Frankfurt: 3N6-FRA; Gold Warrant: CA6546411175) is pleased to announce it has entered into a contract on October 24, 2008 with Derek McBride Geological and Management Services to provide consulting services on Nirek’s Eby and Otto Township claims, near Kirkland Lake, Ontario.  Dr. Derek McBride (P.Eng. and Ph.D.) is an internationally respected geologist who is a specialist in finding and assessing mineral deposits. He has been commissioned to prepare a 43-101 compliant Technical Report on the 12 patented claims.

Dr. McBride earned his Doctorate in Economic and Structural Geology at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton after completing a M.Sc. in Economic Geology and Lithogeochemistry at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. He is the author of 11 papers in such publications as the Mining Journal and early in his career held a professorship at St. Francis Xavier University, Nova Scotia. In his 30 year career, he has been involved in all facets of mineral exploration with projects in Canada, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Cuba, Nicaragua, Honduras, Indonesia, Philippines, Peru, Australia and Mongolia.

After an extensive search to find an an organization to assist Nirek in developing its gold properties, Nirek is confident Dr. McBride with his wealth of international experience and success will make an significant contribution. Nirek’s directors and management were particularly impressed that Dr. McBride has been credited with the discovery of two major gold deposits; the New Reward Gold Zone in NSW, Australia and the Nugget Pond Gold Deposit in Newfoundland.

Dr. McBride will initially do an on-site property inspection during the week of October 27.  Rock samples will be taken and catalogued then sent for analysis to determine their physical properties. After reviewing all the historical and current data, Dr. McBride will build a structural geological base for the property in order to recommend the exploration initiatives that Nirek should proceed on. His Technical Report is expected to be completed in November, 2008.
